2 Arrested in Vegas iPad Murder

Posted: Updated:

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Las Vegas police said Sunday that two men have been arrested in the killing of a teenage boy after he refused to give up his iPAD.

Police offered no immediate details of the arrests but scheduled a news conference later Sunday morning to discuss the case.

According to investigators, 15-year-old Marcos Arenas was walking down a street with the iPad on Thursday when a sport utility vehicle stopped nearby and a lone passenger got out and tried to steal the device from him.

The passenger dragged the Bonanza High School student toward the vehicle and tried to wrest the tablet away, but the youth wouldn't let go. The teen was dragged as the driver sped away until he fell. The vehicle ran over Marcos and he died at a hospital.
