Posted: Updated:

Dr. Milton Glick, the late president of the University of Nevada Reno was honored today with a name change on campus. The ballroom on the fourth floor of the Joe Crowley Student Union Building was renamed in his honor.

That ceremony took place right after Tuesday afternoon's scholarship and awards ceremony there. The Milt Glick Ballroom was filled with hundred paying tribute to him.

"Having something like this named after him is something Dr. Glick would have very much appreciated and something he deserved. He did a lot for this school and he loved being here," said former President Joe Crowley today.

"He did love being on campus and having kids here," added Chancellor Dan Klaich. "This was the center of the university. He loved this building. He loved that this building brought kids here and kept them here. And he would be very proud."

Dr. Glick served as UNR's 15th president from 2006 until his death in April of 2011.
