City of Reno Seeks Input on Government/Public Interaction

Posted: Updated:

From the City of Reno:

The City of Reno is seeking input from the community on how residents want to interact with their Council Members and city government.

A workshop will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the Reno City Council Chambers at City Hall. The general public and all Neighborhood Advisory Board (NAB) members are encouraged to participate in sharing their ideas for future citizen engagement. In tandem, the hot topic will be discussed online through the new ThinkReno.org online citizen engagement tool.

Per council's request at the March 27, 2013 City of Reno Council meeting, staff was asked to evaluate the NAB program effectiveness in reaching the general public, sharing citywide issues, and information in a timely manner, as well as to look at the boundaries of the NABs.

The City of Reno also welcomes input from residents who are unable to attend the meeting by contacting Reno Direct at renodirect@reno.gov or by calling 775.334.INFO (4636).
