Three Injured in Vehicle Accident in Minden

Posted: Updated:

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating an accident in Douglas County that sent three people to the hospital Thursday.

It happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Airport Road and Highway 395 in Minden.

Troopers say a Chevrolet Tracker was driving west on Airport Road when the driver pulled out onto 395 and was T-boned by a GMC Arcadia.

The driver of the Tracker was taken by Careflight helicopter to Renown Regional Medical Center with what appears to be non-life threatening injuries. Two people inside the Arcadia also received non-life threatening injuries.

The road was closed in the area for a few hours while crews cleaned up the accident.

Troopers say the driver of the Tracker was cited for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.
