Sparks Police say they've arrested one man in connection with a shooting near El Rancho Drive. Another man remains on the loose.

Police, with the assistance of Sparks SWAT, arrested 24-year-old Jake Ryan Torlone in the 1700 block of Berkshire early Friday morning. He was booked on charges of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon - firearm, possession of a gun by a prohibited person, discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure and discharging a firearm in a vehicle. Torlone is being held without bail at the Washoe County Jail.

The second suspect, 27-year-old David Lee Cunningham, remains on the loose (at the time of this writing.) He is described as African-American, 5'7" and weighing about 200 pounds. Cunningham has a tattoo of a 'B'' across the front of his neck. A 2011 booking photo is right.

Police say Cunningham is dangerous and may be armed.

Police say witnesses told them an argument broke out around 4 p.m. Thursday, between a group of men and then a 17-year-old boy was shot in the parking lot at Lansdowne Apartments near El Rancho. The boy was found about a mile away from that area near G Street.

The teen suffered a non-life threatening wound to his torso and later released from Renown.

El Rancho Drive between G Street and Oddie Blvd was temporarily closed as officers investigated the scene.
