Report: Nevada Hourly Wages Lower Than National Averages

New numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show workers in Northern Nevada make less than the national average.

According to the report released Thursday, the average hourly wage in Reno-Sparks is $20.69 an hour - about $1.32 less than the average American worker.

The disparity is even more pronounced in certain fields.

For example, the average hourly wage for someone working with computers or mathematics is $31.81 - $6.74 less than the national average.

However, in the field of farming fishing and forestry, Reno-Sparks workers make $4.10 more than the national average.
