"I am pleased to announce the hiring of Rick Harris as the new principal of Bishop Manogue Catholic High School effective July 1, 2013. Rick is highly regarded in the northern Nevada education community and we are confident that his leadership abilities and communications skills will help guide current and future students toward their highest possible academic goals".
Mr. Harris is the Area Superintendent for the Washoe County School District and is currently serving as Interim Principal of Marvin Moss Elementary School. He graduated from the University of Nevada-Reno in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education, earned his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership in 1990, and is currently pursuing his doctorate degree in Educational Leadership.

I am excited to begin working with outstanding teachers and staff, dedicated parents and families, and especially the student body," Harris said. "I have to admit that I have always admired Bishop Manogue for its exceptional learning environment. I look forward to helping strengthen the framework for lifelong learning and, most importantly, to play a part in enhancing the school's commitment to its Catholic education, mission and values."
Nick Rossi, president of the Bishop Manogue Board of Directors, stated, "We recently concluded a national search that included over 20 candidates from around the country. We are very fortunate that someone of Rick's caliber has agreed to lead our school into the future."
