Sparks Police Look For Liquor Store Robbery Suspects

Sparks Police are searching for two suspects in a liquor store robbery that injured a clerk Friday afternoon.

Police say it happened around 3:30 p.m. at the Around the Corner Liquor store on the 700 block of North McCarran Boulevard. Police responded to a report of a robbery with a stabbing. When they arrived on scene, they found the clerk with a laceration on his forearm.

Police say the two suspects walked into the store, picked up two bottles of alcohol and tried to leave without paying.

The clerk tried to stop them, and in the struggle, the suspects broke the bottles, then started to run off. One suspect threw one of the broken bottles at the clerk, which cut his arm.

Witnesses say both suspects got into a vehicle similar to a silver Honda Civic and drove off south on Howard Street.

The first suspect is described as a clean-shaven White or Hispanic man in his early 20's. He has short, dark hair and is between 5'9" to 6'0" with a medium build.

The second suspect is a White or Hispanic man in his early 20's with dark hair and a small goatee. He is between 5'10" and 6'1" with a medium build.
