More People Enjoy Outdoors as Warm Temps Continue

Posted: Updated:

The warm weather brought lots of people out along the Truckee River Monday.

We found people jogging, swimming and just enjoying this beautiful spring day.

"Everybody's out here happy, everybody's wearing shorts and their summer gear and we're really glad it's starting to finally warm up," says Juli MacLean of Reno.

People used this warm day to get together with family, take a dip in the Truckee River or take their dogs for a swim.

It's quite a change from the cold, snowy weather that hit a week ago. People told us they just put their skis away, and are ready for spring.

Most people we talked to enjoy the weather in northern Nevada, even if it is unpredictable.

"I think it's wonderful. We get to take our dogs out here and enjoy the nice weather. Knowing Reno, it'll probably be snowing in a couple of weeks, so we're taking advantage of it while it lasts," says Aquila Nelson of Reno.

It's supposed to cool down a little Tuesday, proving the old theory: if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes, it'll change.
