Sparks Police have two armed robbery suspects behind bars Saturday morning.

Police say it happened on the 400 block of Rock Boulevard around 4:30 a.m. They say the victim was walking when two men approached him and demanded his money. Police say one of the suspects pulled out a knife, while the other showed that he had a weapon in his jacket pocket.

The victim gave them his money and was able to run away to get help. Officers responded to the area and were quickly able to find two people that matched the suspects' descriptions.

Police say the victim later positively identified 30-year old Tron Smith of Reno and 23-year old Andrew Leeper of Reno as the people who robbed him. They were arrested and booked into the Washoe County Jail.

When the suspects were searched, officers were able to find a knife, along with the victim's money. No other weapons were found.

Police say the investigation is ongoing. They're asking anyone with information on this incident to contact detectives at (775) 353-2225 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900. You can also text your tip to 847-411.
