Sparks Police have a man behind bars on possession of stolen property charges.

Detectives recently began an investigation into a series of residential, commercial and storage unit burglaries. They say 40-year old Troy Wise allegedly stole items to exchange them for money and narcotics.

On Friday, Police obtained a search warrant of his home on the 400 block of 9th Street. Police say due to his criminal history and report of weapons being inside the home, the SWAT team was called out and police executed the search warrant at 4:30 a.m.

Wise was arrested a short time later. Detectives found hundreds of pieces of evidence believed to have been stolen in local burglaries. All of the evidence was later taken to the Sparks Police Department.

Police say another woman, identified as Raquel Casarez was arrested for one count of child neglect unrelated to the case involving Wise.

Police say they are still looking for several other suspects who are believed to be involved. If you have any information on this case that could help officers, call the Sparks Police Department Crime Suppression Unit at (775) 353-2450. If you believe you are a victim of a burglary or theft and believe your property may have been recovered in this case, call the same number above.

Sparks Police will hold a public viewing at a later date (to be announced) for the victims of burglaries who have already completed a police report to come and look at the property found in Wise's home.
