A break-in on the University of Nevada campus has police on the hunt for thieves. A 30 thousand dollar display is now missing from the mining museum, and a reward is being offered for any information leading to a conviction.

According to police, a chunk of a rare mineral called stibnite was stolen from the Mackay Mines Keck Museum. The sample of mineral, typically found in hot springs deposits, weighs 25 to 30 pounds. It is about 15 inches long and 8 to 10 inches in height. Investigators believe it may have been taken on April 8, and could now be in two pieces.

If you have any information you are being asked to contact campus police at 775-784-4013 or remain anonymous by calling Secret Witness at 775-322-4900 or text your tip to 847-411 keyword "SW." A one thousand dollar reward is being offered.
