Enrollment Freeze Lifted for Job Corps Program

From the Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center:

Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center (SNJCC) is now able to accept new students into its program once again.  The enrollment freeze put in place by the Department of Labor, which previously affected the Job Corps program nationwide beginning January 28, 2013, has been lifted. 

The center, located in Stead, welcomes interested youth, ages 16-24 years old, to apply.  Interested applicants can contact the SNJCC Admissions office at (775) 789-0839.

Eligibility requirements include:
• Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident
• Must be 16-24 years old
• Must qualify as low-income
• No pending legal/court issues or fines
