Douglas Deputies Identify Plane Crash Victims

Posted: Updated:

Douglas County deputies have identified the two people killed in a small plane crash last week.

Search crews found the bodies of 30-year-old Cory Marble of Reno and 21-year-old Brittney Hocking-Cangemi in the wreckage of a Cessna near Bald Mountain about 20 miles southeast of the Minden-Tahoe Airport.

Their Cessna 182 left North Las Vegas the Sunday before and was headed for the Minden-Tahoe Airport, but never made it. The FAA says it was last detected 78 miles southeast of Reno.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the crash.
