Ex-GOP Senate Hopeful Angle to Speak to Elko GOP

Posted: Updated:

Former U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle is scheduled to speak this weekend at a meeting of the Elko County Republican Party.

The ex-state assemblywoman won a crowded 2010 GOP primary field in Nevada's 2010 Senate race but lost to Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in the general election.

A staunch conservative, she's a favorite of tea party activists and has helped raise money for candidates they support.

Angle is to address the Elko GOP's central committee at its quarterly meeting on Saturday. She'll also be signing her book, "Right Angle: One Woman's Journey to Reclaim the Constitution."
