Carson City deputies say a man that led them on a chase after crashing into a patrol car is now in custody.

The chase began around 8:15 p.m. Thursday along North Ridge Drive in Carson City.

Deputies say they ran the car's license plate and learned it was stolen. But when they tried to stop the car, the driver took off, driving into the parking lot of a nearby Walmart.

From there, deputies began chasing the man back to North Didge Drive where they say he rammed their patrol car, crashed the stolen car and got out and ran.

A number of law enforcement agencies came to search for the man including the Washoe County Sheriff's RAVEN helicopter.
