Carson City deputies say a man that led them on a chase after crashing into a patrol car is now in custody.

The chase began around 8:15 p.m. Thursday along North Ridge Drive in Carson City.

Deputies say they ran the car's license plate and learned it was stolen. But when they tried to stop the car, the driver took off, driving into the parking lot of a nearby Walmart.

From there, deputies began chasing the man back to North Didge Drive where they say he rammed their patrol car, crashed the stolen car and got out and ran.

A number of law enforcement agencies came to search for the man including the Washoe County Sheriff's RAVEN helicopter.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office tells Channel 2 News 31-year old Edward Carroll of Marin County (California) was arrested Friday. Deputies tell us he was found at a bus yard near Carson High School when a Carson City Sheriff's Office K-9 helped arrest him.

Deputies tell us he is charged with driving a stolen vehicle, assaulting an officer, obstruction and breaking parole in California as a convicted felon.

Deputies also arrested two women, Nina Montalbano and Ebony Turnipseed who were in the stolen car last night.

Deputies confirm they were both charged with obstruction. Montalbano was also charged with being in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies tell us investigators learned the two lived with Carroll.
