Building Career Fair Scheduled Friday for Women

Posted: Updated:

If you're a woman looking for a challenging line of work, the "Building Women Career Fair" may be the place you want to be this Friday.

The eighth annual "Building Women Career Fair" happens this Friday at TMCC's IGT/Applied Technology Center at 475 Edison Way in east Reno. The three hour fair starts at 9am.

Representatives from a number of building trades will be there including carpenters, painters, plumbers and operating engineers. Attendees will be able to learn how to apply and qualify for free building trade apprenticeship programs.

The Building Women Career Fair is presented by the Western Apprenticeship Coordinators Association in partnership with the Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada, Job Opportunities in Nevada, Inc., and Truckee Meadows Community College.

This year's sponsor is the State of Nevada Commission on Construction and Education.
