Posted: Updated:

From the Reno Aces:

Whitney Myer, who starred on NBC's "The Voice," will once again perform the National Anthem on Opening Night at Aces Ballpark, the club announced today.

The performance will be Myer's third-straight at the Aces' home opener. First pitch on Friday, April 12, is set for 6:35 p.m. Fans may begin entering the ballpark at 5 p.m.

A Reno native and graduate of the University of Nevada, Myer appeared on season two of NBC's popular talent competition "The Voice," featuring Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. She advanced through the first round of the competition after being selected for Team Adam---led by the lead singer of Maroon 5.

Myer's performance is just one part of the Opening Night festivities. University of Nevada Head Football Coach Brian Polian will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Fans are encouraged to arrive to the ballpark early Opening Night, as 9,000 fans will receive an Aces magnetic schedule.

Select tickets are available for Opening Night, and they can be purchased at the Aces Ballpark Ticket Office, by calling (775) 334-7000 or visiting www.RenoAces.com. Fans are encouraged to pick-up their tickets for all of Opening Weekend in advance.
