RTC Hosting Meeting on Geiger Grade Realignment Tuesday

RTC HOSTS PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING ON THE REALIGNMENT OF GEIGER GRADE ROAD TO US 395A (OLD US 395), TUESDAY, MAR. 26 The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) in cooperation with the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County (RTC) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is proposing to realign Geiger Grade Road to make an additional connection with US 395A (Old US 395), south of Veterans Parkway. In compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA), a public information meeting to brief the community on the project and to receive comments and suggestions from them will be held.


When: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The purpose of the project is to enhance regional connectivity by providing an alternate route from Geiger Grade Road to US 395A (Old US 395). Currently the only connection from Geiger Grade Road to US 395A is at Veterans Parkway.
