South Lake Tahoe Police say the suspect in the El Dorado Savings Bank robbery back on March 7th has been arrested.
Police say the suspect didn't show a weapon, but used a 'demand' note to get cash.
Police worked with the FBI on the case and determined that 29-year old Paul Cortez of South Lake Tahoe was the main suspect.
Police say he talked to South Lake Tahoe detectives and FBI agents while he was in Reno on Thursday. He confessed to the crime, including giving specific details of how the robbery happened and how much money was taken.
After interviewing Cortez, detectives went back to South Lake Tahoe and got an arrest warrant. Cortez was later arrested by Reno Police and was booked into the Washoe County Jail for the warrant. Police say he will soon be transferred to the El Dorado County Jail.
