The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament starts Thursday morning - and people are making their way to area sports books to fill out their brackets.
The Super Bowl brings in the biggest crowds every year. But the sportsbook director at the Peppermill says March Madness is a close second.
"As far as number of people coming into town, headcounts, it'll be absolutely crazy at least for the first four days. And then we have two more weekends to go after that," says Terry Cox.
The tournament starts tomorrow - and today we saw plenty of groups filling out their brackets.
The sportsbook director says March Madness brings in more diehard fans than the Super Bowl does, which is more of a casual event that everybody can join in on.
We found a group of guys from Portland who make their way to Reno every year for this.
"The atmosphere is pretty unreal. There's a lot of people, you meet a lot of people from a lot of different places in the country, and it's very enjoyable," says Daniel Morris.
Don't forget - because of all the March Madness action, we will not have 5pm or 6:30pm newscasts Thursday through Saturday.
We will, however, have special addition newscasts when the games finish up later in the evening.
