Power Restored to Arlington, Caughlin Areas; Carson City Still Out

NV Energy says power remains out in Carson City, while power was restored in the Arlington Avenue and Caughlin Ranch areas in Reno.

The first outage started around 2:15pm today along Arlington Avenue, from Plumb to Mt. Rose. Power was restored at 3:30pm to 468 customers. NV Energy says a problem at a nearby substation is to blame.

The second outage, started just after 3pm today, affected 2,395 customers in the Caughlin Ranch area. NV Energy says power was restored around 4pm - and the cause was wind-related.

NV Energy also reports a third outage in the Carson City area – a wire is down along College Parkway. There's no estimate on when power will be restored to customers.
