Sparks Police have a man behind bars on indecent exposure charges Sunday afternoon.

Police say it happened around 12:45 p.m. on the 2300 block of Greenbrae Drive. Officers responded to a report of a man exposing himself to children who were walking by his vehicle.

When officers arrived on scene, the suspect, identified as 48-year old Robert Joseph Jones of Sparks was seen leaving the area in a dark red 1996 two-door Chevrolet Blazer with Nevada handicap license plates.

Jones was soon stopped by officers and was arrested after admitting to the offense. Two 14-year old girls were identified as victims. After an investigation, officers learned Jones was seen in the same area in the past, along with the area around Cannan Elementary School near Silverada Boulevard.

Sparks Police is urging anyone who sees someone loitering in areas where children frequent to immediately contact police.
