Literally in the middle of a parking lot is now a tea room. Too Soul Tea Company is bringing the same hip hangout feel of coffee shops to the tea world. And the brainchild behind the shop is Taylor Ehrhart. She's been drinking tea since the age of 3 and even though she's in school full time at the university, she manages the shop for her mom and stepdad. In fact, the entire family has a role in this family business.
"We have five kids and I had my three older girls stocking stuff and I just kind of sat back and thought wow this is cool. This is really really cool to just sit back and watch them," said mom and owner, Staci Parker.
Staci's husband, Ethan, did all the construction work to create just as many outside seats as there are inside. And if you are new to the tea world, Taylor recommends some popular options. "A lot of people really like the raspberry vanilla mint. Another popular one is the Madagascar white coconut."
While the Parkers are trying to become a successful small business, it's also important to them to support other local businesses. They import sandwiches, wraps, soup, pastries and cookies from all over town, making it a nice lunch spot.
And as for the name? Part of it is because everything this family does, they do with all their heart and soul. The other reason?Yyou'll have to stop by and ask them for yourself! It's located at 542 1/2 Plumas Street in the parking lot of The Bead Shop.
