The FBI needs your help finding an alleged Bay Area bank robber who has ties to Reno.
Authorities say Gary Casdell Fite, Jr. jumped the teller counter inside The Mechanics Bank in Pinole on March 1. They say while holding a loaded semi-automatic handgun to teller's head, he stole a large amount of cash from the drawer.
On March 8, he was charged with armed bank robbery in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California in Oakland. A federal warrant was also issued for his arrest.
The FBI says Fite, Jr. has ties to Reno and Oakland, Antioch, and Vallejo, California. His last known place of residence was Oakland in early 2013.
The 22-year-old is described as African-American, 5'8" and weighs 180 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo on his neck and a scar on his chest.
The FBI says Fite, Jr. also goes by the names Gary Fite, Gary C. Fite, Jr., and Gary Casdell Fite II.
The FBI says Fite, Jr. should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, call 911.
