Investigating Vehicle into Virginia Lake - KTVN Channel 2 - Reno Tahoe News Weather, Video -

Just after 9 p.m. Thursday night, a witness called police telling them a car drove into the lake.

The witness also said they saw the driver get out, take off their clothing and then they noticed the driver was gone.

Police say the car belongs to a woman who was car jacked just minutes before the crash. The victim told police the man walked up to her car, flashed a pistol and made her get out. The woman did, and he took off with the car.

Police are looking for a Hispanic man in his mid-20's about 5 foot 8 with a medium build.

He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, dark pants and a black cap.
