Reno police say they've arrested a teenager in connection with a shooting that happened this weekend on Wedekind Road.

Police say 18-year-old David Ledezma of Reno turned himself in to authorities on Monday. He's been booked on one count of battery with a deadly weapon.

The shooting happened at The Silver Terrace Apartments Saturday just after 1:30am.

The Regional Gang Unit is trying to identify a person of interest, only described as a younger Hispanic male. They also say they don't believe the crime was gang-related.

The victim has since undergone surgery and was last reported in stable condition.

The investigation remains ongoing.
