Brant Davis
A Carlin man is behind bars suspected of killing his mother and injuring his half-brother in a shooting Tuesday morning.
Carlin police say they responded to a home around 9 am after the brother called. When they got there, the suspect, 22-year-old Brant Davis was outside.
The police chief says he was dazed and didn't answer any questions about the incident.
Davis now faces open murder, attempted murder and assault charges.
The shooting killed 52-year-old Teresa Black.
The brother, 19-year-old Taylor Black was shot in the neck and hand and underwent surgery in Utah. His current condition is unknown.
Carlin is 22 miles southwest of Elko.
