Sparks Police Investigate Two Reports of Gunshots Fired

Posted: Updated:

Sparks Police are investigating two separate reports of gunshots being fired Saturday night.

Police say they began responding around 8:45 p.m. to the 1500 block of Gault Way. Witnesses there reported seeing a dark-colored SUV leaving the area at a high-rate of speed. It was last seen in the area of Gault and 11th Street.

Then, several minutes later, officers responded to the 100 block of O Street for the second report of shots being fired. There was no vehicle description given in this incident.

Officers recovered shell casings at each scene, but they say there were no reports of injuries or property damage.

Police say the possibility that the two incidents are related will be investigated.

If you know anything, you're being asked to call Sparks Police at (775) 353-2225 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900. You can also text your tip to 847411. A $500 reward is being offered.
