Back in January, a Carson City mother lost her life when she was hit and crushed by a car, driven by an alleged drunk driver.
Desiree Bragg left behind a fiancé and a son -- who is now six months old.
At the time of her death, Desiree was preparing to work in a salon as a hairstylist -- which is the inspiration behind a fundraiser in her honor.
Desiree's friends and colleagues are holding a "Cut-a-Thon" today at Paul Mitchell The School in Reno, at 1600 Holcomb Avenue. It lasts until 3pm.
The minimum suggested donation is $10.
Organizers are hoping to raise at least $5,000-- by giving at least 500 haircuts & styles.
All the proceeds will go to Desiree's son, Tristan.
