A man and his wife were hospitalized Monday morning after they struck a cow while driving on South Virginia Street near South Hills Drive in Reno.
It happened around 1:15 a.m. when a cow began crossing the road. The driver of a white pickup truck struck the cow causing his vehicle to roll.
The two were taken to Renown Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. The cow did not survive the accident.
The road was closed for a period of time while NDOT workers removed the cow.
