Washoe County deputies say they've arrested a man who burglarized a home, after being reported as a suspicious person earlier in the day.

The incident happened Wednesday just after 12:15pm in the 4300 block of Ross Drive in Reno.

Upon arrival, deputies say they received information about a suspicious person moving items away from a residence. Deputies made contact with the individual identified as 33-year-old John David Markey of Reno.

At the residence, deputies say they found damage of a door being forced open. Deputies say they found no one inside the home as well.

Sheriff's Patrolmen and K-9 Teams canvassed the surrounding neighborhood for the possibility that other homes may have been tampered with but no additional victims were identified.

Markey was arrested, transported and booked into the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility without incident.

Markey was charged with Burglary and his bail is set at $20,000.
