The 36 Hours for Kids Radiothon presented by Alice 96.5 the end of this week will benefit Renown Children's Hospital. Bill, Connie and Trey will broadcast live from the Roseview Admitting Lobby, on the First Floor of Renown Regional Medical Center for 36 hours of on-air coverage Feb. 28 through March 2, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
One hundred percent of all money raised during the event will stay local to help kids in the northern Nevada community.
Hear the many stories of miracles that happen every day at Renown Children's Hospital from current and former patients and their families. The hospital plans to have special visitors drop by to say hello and members of the community showing their support during the 3-day event. Some confirmed highlights will include the following:
- Friday, March 1 at 9:15 a.m., Whitney Myer, former contestant on The Voice on NBC, will discuss her current role bringing music to the bedside of patients at Renown Children's Hospital. Whitney will also sing some of her newest music.
- Saturday, March 2 at 10:15 a.m., Joey Jacobsen – Children's Miracle Network Champion. Joey was injured in a logging accident near Gardnerville in 2008. He suffered a severe brain injury and is now confined to a wheelchair. Joey's family has a "never give up" attitude and the northern Nevada community supported them throughout their journey. The family will discuss what led to Joey's injury and how it changed their lives forever.
- Saturday, March 2 at 2 p.m. in Mack Auditorium, Zumbathon – this fundraising event will get you moving to support kids in our community. All money raised goes to Renown Children's Hospital. Visit www.alice965.com for ticket information.
