RTC Seeks Public Input on 2035 Transportation Plan

The RTC announces the opening of the public participation and comment period for the 2035 Draft Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). The RTC has developed the Draft 2035 RTP based on input from the community. The plan identifies the transportation projects and services that will help improve mobility for riding transit, walking, biking, and driving over the next 20 years. These projects support the RTP guiding principles to promote safe & healthy communities, economic development & diversification, sustainability, and increased travel choices. The RTP was developed over 18 months with the participation of local residents and partner agencies.

The opportunity to offer feedback on the plan is available during the 21-day public comment and participation period from Feb 22nd through March 15, 2013. Residents can provide comments on the draft plan during this period on the www.yourWashoeRTP.com website, or to Christina Leach at the following physical, telephonic or electronic addresses:

On Thursday, March 14th, the RTC will host a community open house at the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum located at 490 S. Center Street from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. to meet with the public and receive feedback on the draft document.
