Earthquake Near Tonopah Junction

An earthquake struck an area near the Tonopah Junction Sunday morning.

The University of Nevada Seismological Laboratory reports it happened around 6:15 a.m., about 16 miles south of the junction.

Officials say the initial quake measured at a 3.5-magnitude, with several smaller aftershocks.

There are no immediate reports of damages or injuries.
