South Lake Tahoe Investigate a Hit and Run Accident - KTVN Channel 2 - Reno Tahoe News Weather, Video -

South Lake Tahoe police say they received numerous 911 calls reporting a car had crashed into the front of a house on Fountain Drive Thursday night.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a 2001 Volvo station wagon had crashed into two parked cars in the driveway.

Witnesses told police 27-year-old Christopher Catterson was in the driver's seat of the Volvo, although police say Catterson denied being the driver.

Catterson was arrested for driving under the influence and hit and run. His driver's license was already suspended for a prior DUI conviction.

Police say it appears his cell phone was in the process of sending a text message at the time of the crash.

Catterson suffered minor injuries.

No one else was hurt.
