Washoe Deputies Arrest Alleged Sun Valley Home Burglar

Washoe County deputies arrested a Sun Valley man they say tried to burglarize a home near Yukon Drive Wednesday morning.

When officers arrived on Miwok Court, they found a downed street sign, and a white Oldsmobile sedan that crashed through a wooden fence and into the home.

Deputies say 23-year-old Michael Reynolds entered the home, but the homeowner lawfully detained him with a gun.

Reynolds was charged with Burglary, Failing to Stay at an Accident with Property Damage, and Destroying Property of Another over $5,000.

Reynolds was booked into the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility without incident.

Reynolds is being held on $25,740 bail.
