Man Killed in Dirt Biking Accident North of Reno

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office confirms a man was killed in a dirt biking accident Sunday afternoon.

Deputies tell Channel 2 News that it happened around noon in an area between Hungry Valley and Winnemucca Ranch roads.

Deputies say the body of the unidentified man was found a few hours later.

The exact cause of death is unknown at this time. The Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy in the coming days.

    A Portland State University student has been in a coma for a week at Renown's ICU, after a mysterious incident on his way home via Amtrak.  He was found unconscious in Truckee, where he suffered broken bones, a damaged brain stem and severe burns. His family is demanding answers.
