Teenager Killed In Sledding Accident

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office says a young teenager was killed in a sledding accident Sunday afternoon.

Deputies tell Channel 2 News that it happened around 3:30 p.m. at Sheeps Flat, off of Mount Rose Highway.

They say the unidentified teen was sliding down a hill when his sled hit a tree. He died at the scene.

Deputies say the Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office is now looking into the boy's exact cause of death.
