Fire and Death Investigation in Sun Valley

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office and the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District are investigating a death and a fire at the same location.

Firefighters responded to a report of a fire around 4:30 Saturday morning on Maynard Way in Sun Valley. They say a detached RV had caught fire.

They put the fire out, then searched the inside -- where they discovered a body. They don't know yet if the fire caused the death.

A person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under investigation as well.
