Secret Witness Website Hacked

Secret Witness says its website was recently hacked.

The Reno Gazette-Journal first reported that a hacker, using the name "Team Cyber Switch" posted a photo on the main page.

Ken Lightfoot is part of the Secret Witness Board of Directors. He told us Thursday night that they became aware of the incident that afternoon.

He doesn't believe the information of those who gave tips through the website were compromised, but he told us parts of the website were disabled for a few hours as officials cleaned up and inspected the website. He says they are now looking into making the website more secure.

Lightfoot says law enforcement is currently investigating the incident.
