Presidents' Day Holiday Closures

Posted: Updated:

All Washoe County Libraries will be closed Monday, February 18, 2013 in observance of Presidents' Day.

Additionally, the following libraries will also be closed Tuesday, February 19: Duncan/Traner, Incline Village, North Valleys, Northwest, Senior Center, Sierra View, South Valleys & Sparks.

The Downtown Reno library and the Spanish Springs library will be open on Tuesday.

"As a result of County Code provisions and certain contractual commitments, libraries that are normally open between Tuesday and Saturday will be closed on Tuesday the 18th," says Library Director Arnold Maurins. "Both the Downtown Reno Library and the Spanish Springs library will be open and we invite the public to visit those branches that day."

The Library System has neither sufficient staffing, nor the budget dollars to pay overtime, that would be required to keep the above mentioned libraries open on Tuesday. Washoe County Library Staff thanks you for your understanding and patience and we also apologize for any inconvenience to you and your family.

Please visit us online at www.washoecountylibrary.us to place a hold, renew a checkout, download eBooks, research databases and more. We will be happy to serve you on our next open day.
