All Washoe County Libraries will be closed Monday, February 18, 2013 in observance of Presidents' Day.
Additionally, the following libraries will also be closed Tuesday, February 19: Duncan/Traner, Incline Village, North Valleys, Northwest, Senior Center, Sierra View, South Valleys & Sparks.
The Downtown Reno library and the Spanish Springs library will be open on Tuesday.
"As a result of County Code provisions and certain contractual commitments, libraries that are normally open between Tuesday and Saturday will be closed on Tuesday the 18th," says Library Director Arnold Maurins. "Both the Downtown Reno Library and the Spanish Springs library will be open and we invite the public to visit those branches that day."
The Library System has neither sufficient staffing, nor the budget dollars to pay overtime, that would be required to keep the above mentioned libraries open on Tuesday. Washoe County Library Staff thanks you for your understanding and patience and we also apologize for any inconvenience to you and your family.

Pursuant to state law, the recently relocated office of the County Clerk (now at the Washoe County Complex at Ninth Street & Wells Avenue in Reno) will remain open throughout the holiday from 8 a.m. to midnight for the issuance of marriage licenses.
Reno City Hall and City Administrative Offices will be closed Monday, February 18, 2013 in observance of Presidents' Day.

Even with City offices closed, residents can still visit www.Reno.gov and access the "Self-Service Menu" to pay parking tickets, sewer bills, court fees, register for classes, file a police report, or enter a service request for Reno Direct.
In observance of Presidents Day, Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) will be closed Saturday, Feb. 16 through Monday, Feb. 18. The college will reopen on Tuesday, Feb. 19. For a full calendar of events, visit www.tmcc.edu.
The Regional Transportation Commission's administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Feb. 18 in observance of the President's Day holiday.
All RTC transit services will operate on the regular schedule for the holiday. RTC Passenger Services at RTC 4TH STREET STATION will be open regular business hours 7 am – 7 pm.
The Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum (The Discovery) will be open 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Presidents Day, Monday February 18th, a day the museum is normally closed to the public .
