On Wednesday, February 6, 2013, the Regional Sex Offender Notification Unit received information that a Tier 2 Sex Offender from Las Vegas was staying in our area, and had not registered with local law enforcement within 48 hours of his arrival as required by law.

The RSONU, with the assistance of the Department of Parole and Probation, located Lee Carr Estabrook II in the 1100 block of N. Rock Blvd.  He was taken into custody without incident.  Estabrook, who is also on lifetime parole, has been in the area since at least February 1st of this year, staying at a local motel and working in the area.

Estabrook was transported to the Washoe County Detention Facility and booked for the felony charge of Sex Offender Failing to Register.  His bail has been set at $5000.00.  In addition, the Department of Parole and Probation has placed a hold on him for violating the conditions of his parole.

Anyone with information on Estabrook is asked to contact the RSONU at 353-2244 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.

The RSONU is a collaborative effort between law enforcement in Reno, Sparks and Washoe County to monitor, and enforce the requirements set forth in the Nevada Revised Statutes for, Registered Sex Offenders.
