Carson City Sheriff's Office Investigating Deadly Shooting

The Carson City Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly shooting that happened Sunday night.

Deputies responded to the shooting at a home on West Washington Street in Carson City around 8:30 p.m.

They found 32-year-old James Lay with a gunshot wound to the chest. He died before he reached the hospital.

Witnesses identified the suspect as 32-year-old David Grimes. He was taken into custody by deputies.

Deputies say a domestic argument may have led to the incident.
