There will be a free flu clinic for children this afternoon at Shoppers Square.

Immunize Nevada is putting on the event at Shoppers Square on 277 East Plumb Lane in Reno.

Organizers say the clinic will be offered to children, 6-months to 18-years old, whose families are under Medicaid, Nevada Check-up and private insurance that doesn't cover vaccines. It's also available for children in families with no insurance.

A limited number of flu vaccines will also be available for adults and children with private insurance on a first come, first served basis.

The clinic runs from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
