Former Storey County Commissioner Arrested

Greg "Bum" Hess, Jr.

The Storey County Sheriff's Office says a former county commissioner was arrested on Friday.

Deputies say a fight broke out after a basketball game at Virginia City High School. They say Greg "Bum" Hess, Jr. fought with 18-year old Kody Burrell, who was treated and released at the scene.

Hess was arrested and booked into the Storey County Jail on a battery charge. He was later released after posting bail.

Deputies could not release more details about the incident on Friday.
