The Nevada State Contractors Board has issued a warning about an unlicensed contractor in the Reno-Sparks area.
"Horton Home Improvement, LLC" has been cited by the Board for allegedly contracting without a license and bidding work for siding and concrete, trades that do require a contractor's license.
There are no reports of scams or fraudulent activities at this time, but the board wants everyone to be extra cautious.
Officials say homeowners who hire unlicensed contractors are not eligible for the Residential Recovery Fund, should damages happen during a project.
