Allegiant Air Celebrates First Non-Stop Reno-Vegas Flight

Posted: Updated:

The Reno-Tahoe International Airport celebrated the first non-stop flight on Allegiant Air from Reno to Las Vegas on Friday.

In honor of the inaugural flight, the airline teamed up with the local radio-station Bob FM to give away two round trip tickets, a hotel stay and a Las Vegas show.

We spoke to a winner -- who's excited to take the impromptu trip.

"I though there'd be a whole lot more people and the odds were pretty good and they pulled my name and I'm like, Wow, I'm going to Vegas! I get to see the Blue Man Group, stay in the Tropicana, I'm going to have some fun!," says Hershel Rosenbaum.

Allegiant offers flights starting at $37 one way.

The airline flies non-stop to Las Vegas on Fridays - and then back on Sundays.
