The new Pak offers a way for Thunderbird IT admins to deliver and lockdown user settings.
(PRWEB) January 31, 2013
PolicyPak Software, a leader in Group Policy and desktop management, released an enterprise management solution for Mozilla Thunderbird.
The new preconfigured Pak for Thunderbird Pak gives Thunderbird administrators the ability to control and enforce configuration settings within Thunderbirds.
Using the Pak, admins can turn off automatic updates, ensure Thunderbird is the default mail client, make sure spell-check is always turned on plus prevent users from picking up web cookies, to name a few. A video explaining how to manage Thunderbird is available on the PolicyPak website.
PolicyPak can deliver settings using Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy, Microsoft SCCM, Dell KACE, or any other management tool.
IT Admins can get a free PolicyPak trial or find out more about PolicyPak by attending a Group Policy Webinar at the PolicyPak Website, or by calling (800) 883-8002.
Jeremy Moskowitz, founder of PolicyPak Software says, “Without PolicyPak, you’ve got no way to do this uniformly and ensure your Thunderbird settings. Users won’t know what ‘“secure”’ or “’correctly configured”’ means – only IT admins do. Using the PolicyPak preconfigured Pak for Thunderbird ensures that Thunderbird will always be configured up correctly using Group Policy.”
PolicyPak Professional customers have free access to the Mozilla Thunderbird Pak, in addition to dozens of other pre-configured Paks. Some of the most popular applications offer up solutions for Java, Flash, Firefox and Shockwave. Security options are also available for less popular applications and custom homegrown applications with the PolicyPak Design Studio.
